National Day of Prayer at the Capitol
May 7 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
This Thursday, join FLO and other communities across Denver will come together for the National Day of Prayer, a nationwide observance held annually on the first Thursday of May. Established by Congress in 1952, this day invites people of all backgrounds to unite in prayer for the nation, its leaders, and its future.
In Denver, gatherings will take place throughout the day, including a central prayer event at the Colorado State Capitol from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, where individuals, churches, and community leaders will join in unified prayer. Evening services and additional gatherings will also be held across the city, creating opportunities for worship, reflection, and intercession.
The 2026 theme, “Glorify God Among the Nations, Seeking Him in All Generations,” emphasizes unity across generations and a shared desire to seek God’s presence in every area of life.
This free, community-wide event is open to all and serves as a powerful reminder of faith, hope, and unity in the Mile High City.
