JAY-Z and his mother, Gloria founded the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund (SCSF) in 2003 to help low-income students pursue higher education. The program offers scholarships to cover tuition, books, lab fees, travel, and living expenses. To be eligible for the scholarship, Shawn Carter Scholars must do community service and mentor younger students. SCSF awards scholarships to 200+ US students annually for up to $7,500. To apply for this year’s scholarship, you must meet all criteria by April 30th.
